Rockwood’s Tree lighting
Every year on the 1st Friday or Saturday in December, Rockwood 2000 hosts a Christmas Tree Lighting at Homecoming Park downtown Rockwood. We purchase the biggest tree we can find, and with the help of the Rockwood city workers, we decorate the tree for the Lighting ceremony.
The ceremony consists of an MC, seasonal music programs, along with a visit from Santa! The special feature of the event is, of course, pictures with Santa. In years past, and when available, we include horse and buggy rides.
This is a family event and everyone is invited to enjoy the festivities.
