444 S. RIDGE STREET HOME OF THIRD “SPOT OF BEAUTY” AWARD

 

ROCKWOOD – The third Spot of Beauty Award has been presented to Floyd and Mabel Owings of 444 S. Ridge Street in Rockwood and was nominated via the Rockwood 2000 website.

     Spot of Beauty Program Manager Angela Couch explained the Owings' yard is situated on a very large corner lot. "This property requires a lot of work and is quite tastefully planted and maintained. With the shade from the mature trees and the accent plants, this lawn is quite inviting on a warm summer day."

    This program supports the Rockwood 2000 goal of the beautification of Rockwood.  Award recipients meet the criteria of having an attractive, well kept yard; showing creativity in seasonal plantings, and using a balance of both trees and flowers.
