BEAUTY ABOUNDS IN ROCKWOOD!

Home of Floyd & Mabel OwingsROCKWOOD – Continuing the summer Spot of Beauty Program is becoming easier in some ways and more difficult in others, according to Angela Couch, Rockwood 2000.

"More people are taking great pride in their lawns. It is becoming increasingly difficult to choose" says Couch. "For those reasons, there will be two awards this time."

The first award for this period goes to Mr. and Mrs. Ray Collett of 302 S. Patton Avenue. Their home was nominated via the Rockwood 2000 website. "The Collett's lawn is well maintained on all sides of their home. One photo doesn't do this residence justice." remarked Couch.

Home of Mr. and Mrs. Harold WesterAlso chosen for the award is the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Wester, who reside at 178 Cabot Lane in Rockwood. "This home and lawn are simply....."eye candy", smiles Couch.

Spot of Beauty Awards support the Rockwood 2000 goal of the beautification of Rockwood.  Award recipients meet the criteria of having an attractive, well kept yard; showing creativity in seasonal plantings, and using a balance of both trees and flowers. Nominations for the award can be placed online at www.rockwood2000.com
