Rockwood 2000

Rockwood is standing much prouder these days with some thanks to the efforts of Rockwood 2000. The purpose of Rockwood 2000 is the promotion and execution of community development, historic preservation and public education in ways that will lessen the burdens of government. Rockwood 2000 has worked to enhance the physical appearance of the commercial districts along Rockwood Street and Gateway Avenue, encouraging rehabilitation of historic buildings and sensitive design. Events such as the Christmas Tour of Historic Homes each year was implemented to celebrate the culture and heritage of Rockwood, create civic pride and encourage tourism.

Make a name for yourself. Buy a brick paver or two and help pave the way to a more beautiful Rockwood and Homecoming Park. Some examples of pavers are:

When you purchase one or more of our Memory Lane pavers, your name will become part of history in Rockwood's Homecoming Park. For $35, $65, or $100, each paver you buy will be engraved with the name or message of your choice. Then we will lay it along pathways for everyone to see when visiting the park or attending an event.

Your $35, $65, or $100 does more than make you or your loved ones famous. Funds raised will be used for the continuation of the beautification and improvement of Rockwood.

Here's what you do:

First: Determine the name or message you want on your paver(s). Wording is limited to t he following, and are priced accordingly:

• 4X8 - 14 characters, 3 lines - (these are $35 dollar pavers)
• 8X8 - 14 characters, 4 lines - (these are $65 pavers)
• 12X12 - 17 characters, 6 lines - (priced at $100)

Pavers come in block letters only. Count spaces between words as one character. Please NOTE: Seals or Emblems are an additional $25.00.

Second: Fill out the form below and submit it. This form will automatically email your order. You will be contacted telephonically within three days to confirm. Payment will be accepted by check or money order mailed to:

Checks should be payable to "Rockwood 2000 Memory Lane". Pavers will be ordered twice a year - May 1st and October 1st.

Third: Wait patiently. A minimum order of pavers needs to be met in order to participate in lower production and shipping costs. You will be notified. This is an ongoing Rockwood 2000 project with no cutoff date.
