This was the first Highway Patrol Building in East Tennessee, built in 1936. Riding Harley Davidson motorcycles, troopers chased down moonshiners & assisted in open range animal control. They patroled the highways between Rockwood & the Virginia border. On display was a vintage Highway patrol car.
