Elijah Eblen House
Rockwood, Tennessee
Mr. Eblen was a salesman and built this house for his wife Sara and their children. It was purchased in 1940 by Noel Marsh. Here is a fine example of the railroad inspired era of the national folk house. This is considered a front gabeled folk house. The addition to the left was added in the early 1940s by the Marshes. Mrs. Marsh has many pieces of family heirloom furniture and a whimsical collection of antique sewing notions. |
