The John East House is owned by Stan & Judy Wassom. The house was reconstructed in 1950 from materials salvaged from the John East House and the Commerce Building, both circa 1900. These buildings were razed for the construction of Gateway Avenue. Refreshments prepared from recipes in the Christmas Committee Cookbook are served in the dining room. Living history Civil War Reenactments take place on the property. |
